Assn. Function:                         Hosted Institute for Incoming Chairman in Shimla

Achievements:                           Two new subcommittees for: a) Care of the Girl Child and b) Care for Street Children and Child Labour were formed.

Splendid and praise worthy work by members/ clubs was done under these two committees. Sixteen girls received training in nursing in Inter District Health Assistance Programme. A unique and thought provoking Inter City on Girl Child was held. Got elected as Association Secretary unanimously.

Achievements:                                 Inoculated 11,000 poor children in our District. Two major water conservation projects were done by IWC Shimla & IWC Ambala, almost 10,000 children were examined by renown doctors for dental health and most of the clubs saw to it that further help was given to the children who needed it, whether root canal or surgery or replacement or dental treatment.

There was also dance by talented handicapped children of Saket. We collected one lakh and sixty thousand rupees on the spot for the cause of these children and later on get them musical instruments and new beddings to 53 handicapped children.

WOMAN OF SUBSTANCE award was given to IW member Sanjana Goel for her brave fight against muscular dystrophy and causing awareness amongst general public about this dreadful disease.
